Humanitarian Indicator Tool (HIT) Evaluations

Humanitarian Indicator Tool (HIT) Evaluations

Client: Oxfam GB

The Humanitarian Indicator Tool was developed by Oxfam’s Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) department to evaluate its large-scale humanitarian programmes and identify trends in programme quality and performance.

Marilise Turnbull, Atrato’s Principal Consultant, supported Oxfam to pilot the tool in Colombia and, based on changes made as a result of that process, to apply the enhanced version to programmes in Kenya, Mali and Sierra Leone.

Atrato also works with Oxfam’s MEAL team to produce annual synthesis reports of all evaluations conducted with the HIT, which form the basis of Oxfam’s annual reporting on its humanitarian work to the UK Government’s Department for International Development.
